Cavewoman

Bud Root's Cavewoman... a simple premise. A buxom, curvy, hot brunette in a jungle bikini with a big ape gets into adventures. I own a small handful of these gems and I confess I have yet to READ a single one. These comics exist because they LOOK GREAT. Mostly. There are some rush jobs in the mix. Root has a small cadre of other artists doing issues and sometimes they seem to be under a deadline crunch.

But hey, I get it.

The covers are hot. The pinups are great. This is eye candy and I am all for it.

Primitive Pin-Up

I drew this a few years ago and was very pleased with how it came out. I wanted to do a classic female figure with plenty of pinup appeal and I believe I was successful. The inks are traditional, the color is digital.

I love sketching. Hell, I consider probably 90% of what I do as sketching, even when I finish something. Sketches are great because they leave room for more.

 I drew this in the mid-90s. Probably 1995. Most likely on typing paper with a Pigma Micron 01. Isn't she cute?
